Track the body before arranging pickup
Launcher launches an opponent’s body when you knock them out. Its ability card identifies it as passive, so the follow-up is about locating and collecting the displaced opponent rather than pressing an active ability button.
The practical mistake is looking at the spot where the fight ended while the body has moved elsewhere. Follow its new position, reassess the route, and tell your carrier or escort where collection now needs to happen.
Balance note, October 3, 2026: read the current ability card for its purchase cost, rarity and effect wording before buying. This guide focuses on the passive knockout-and-displacement behavior.
Understand what the passive changes
The launched body may land outside the area your teammates were covering. Keep watching after the knockout so you can find it and arrange a pickup.
| Stage | What to watch with Launcher |
|---|---|
| Before the fight | Nearby support and possible collection routes |
| Opponent knocked down | The body’s displacement |
| After the launch | The actual landing position and surrounding enemies |
| Pickup available | Who collects and who protects the route |
| Delivery completed | The cage and current escape pressure |
The launch is not the same as depositing an opponent in jail. Continue the capture chain and confirm the opponent reaches the cage.
Do not plan around a fixed launch distance or guaranteed direction. Read the actual position after each knockout instead of assuming the body will land where your last opponent did.
Choose fights with collection in mind
Before committing, check whether your team can reach a displaced body without crossing unsupported ground. A knockout beside several opponents can produce a pickup location you cannot safely contest.
Stay close enough to an ally that you can call the body’s new position. The carrier needs to know where to go, while the escort needs to see which approach to cover.
If the body ends up beyond your immediate support, regroup and check the route before moving in. Chasing the landing position alone can turn a completed knockout into another fight your team cannot finish.
Check the surrounding enemies before approaching the body, and keep an ally close enough to help with the pickup.
Check the intended ability before the round
Open Inventory and find Launcher under Abilities. Read the passive label and the current effect card, then check your actual selected loadout before joining the next fight.
A wheel or crate reward does not prove you changed the ability you are using. If the behavior does not match what you intended, verify the selection first rather than repeatedly pressing the active ability control.
For an active ability such as Thunder, the relevant questions are readiness and activation timing. With Launcher, watch where the body goes after the knockout and arrange a pickup there.
Give the ability a useful team handoff
Call the body location immediately after the launch. Let the available teammate collect it while the other covers the new route. If you pick it up yourself, return to the agreed jail without turning toward another chase.
At the destination, confirm the capture and watch the bars. Launching another body while the existing prisoners escape only repeats the same unfinished team work.
Use carrying enemies for transport decisions or Thunder to compare its active ability timing.
FAQ
Do I press a button to trigger Launcher?
Launcher is described as passive and tied to knockouts. Check the current ability card and your selected loadout rather than using an active button as its trigger.
Does the launch put an enemy straight into jail?
Do not treat displacement as a completed jail delivery. Locate the body, collect it and confirm the opponent reaches the cage.
How far does Launcher send the body?
Use the actual landing position for route planning. Do not rely on a fixed distance or assumed direction.
Why should I check Inventory first?
Confirm that Launcher is the ability you intended to select. Owning or receiving a reward does not by itself confirm your current loadout.
